What is this banner program? WOW! Extraordinary art portraying the beauty of our surroundings, the names of the organizations which make this Region great, and some history all in one drive around Main Street! This program is unlike any other banner program you may have seen. These are not generic banners that could fly anywhere. These banners and lampposts fixtures were designed and made here, specifically for us, by people who care deeply about this area. |
How does
it work? How often do the banners fly and how much does it cost?
The banners go up and down based on the Center Stage calendar of events
and the seasons. The placement of your banner is random and may change each
time the banners are changed. We anticipate the banners to be up for approximately
40 weeks a year.
It costs $1,200 a year to have this community recognition in our downtown.
Why
should I consider flying a banner?
Sponsoring a lamppost is one way to say you care about downtown Keene to
your employees, their families and to the community in general. It is a visible
way to remind people that your organization cares very much about our community
center and about what happens to it - it says you have a stake in our downtown.
Sponsoring a banner is one way to ensure the continuation of Center Stage events
such as the Pumpkin Festival and Tree-Lighting Festival. This banner program is
designed to provide the funds to produce the banners and also to provide Center
Stage with some base line funding to ensure its continuing ability to serve the
community.
Do I have to do anything with the banners?
Just enjoy them! And relish the compliments you receive from employees,
peers and the community. Center Stage is responsible for putting them up and
taking them down, their production and upkeep and any necessary maintenance.
How do I get my banner?
Call the Center Stage office at 358-5344. We would be glad to answer any
questions you may have or to give you a presentation which includes a showing
of the banner artwork. There are a limited number of lampposts available
on a first come-first served basis.
